History

Norwich City Concert Band (NCCB) was founded in 1997 by Bill Moore, an ex-military musician, who saw the potential ‘gap in Norwich’s market’ for a larger, more ‘concert style’ band.

NCCB has now been established for over 20 years and continues to go from strength to strength, since re-locating from centre of Norwich at Bignold School to outskirts of the city Mile Cross Methodist Church in the 2010 due to need for more space for the ever expanding band membership.

Tours

In recent years NCCB has embarked on many tours across Europe and the UK. Each of these tours has been hugely successful uniting the band musically and socially.

  • 2009 – Menin Gate, Ypres, Belgium
  • 2011 – Valkenburg, Holland & Monschau, Germany
  • 2013 – Cowes, Isle of Wright
